A man is in police custody and another is in hospital with non-life-threatening injuries following a shooting in Vanier Friday afternoon.
A 30-year-old man was shot in the abdomen, according to a source.
Ottawa police Const. Chuck Benoit confirmed there were witnesses to the shooting and they are being questioned by investigators.
The shooting happened at 2:08 p.m. at Montreal Road and Eglise Street. Police closed Montreal Road from St. Laurent Boulevard to conduct their investigation.
This is the 30th reported shooting in Ottawa in 2015.
