Imam Mohamad Jebara and Rev. Martin Malina were joined by members of Ottawa’s faith community in a bicycle “race” to raise funds and awareness about Ottawa’s affordable housing crisis.

The Cycling Cleric’s Challenge is a 14-kilometre event that began on Parliament Hill and finished at Andrew Haydon Park.

The event has been raising funds for various charities for several years.

Rev. Martin Malina of Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church, left, Rev. Maggie Melanson of Barrhaven United, and Eric Soumur, with the SolSeed Movement, get ready to ride in the Cycling Cleric’s Challenge, a 14 km challenge between faith community group leaders to raise funds for affordable housing in Ottawa, on Parliament Hill on Sunday, October 18, 2015.
