Up to eight people, along with a number of dogs and cats, were displaced by an early morning fire Tuesday at a multi-residence building on Arthur Street near Gladstone in the downtown area.
Firefighters were called to the building shortly after 6 a.m. and found an active fire that started in the third floor of the three-storey building.
A second alarm was called, but the blaze was brought under control before 7 a.m.
There were no injuries. Traffic remains rerouted on several streets in the area.
