Ottawa – A commemorative ceremony at the National War Memorial will result in numerous traffic impacts on downtown streets on Thursday, October 22 between 9:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. Motorists are advised to use alternate routes when travelling downtown during this time.
Elgin Street between Albert Street and Wellington Street will be closed from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Wellington Street, eastbound, will be closed between Mackenzie Avenue and O’Connor Street from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Wellington Street, westbound, will be closed between Sussex Drive and Metcalfe Street from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Queen Street between O’Connor Street and Elgin Street will be open to local traffic only from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
OC Transpo Routes 1, 2, 4, 7, 9, 12, 14, 18, and certain trips on Route 16 will be detoured during this period. For further information, please visit octranspo.com.
