Got one speeding ticket in Nova Scotia last week, CAD387.5, exceeding 45KM/s. Police told me no point deduct in Ontario system.

First time getting ticket, ask for advice. How to handle?
Should I write an explaination letter to Court? what's an good excuse? Just ignore it? Or JUST PAY IT. Thanks in advance.:flaming:

I guess, just ignore it and try not drive there in certain time.

too fast with exceeding 45KM/s

Speed was 125KM/h, but there is a construction, limit is 80KM/s. It is a uphill where single lane changes to 2-lane. Police in right on the top of hill.

Select one of the first two options on your ticket (1. Not guilty and go to court. 2. Pledge guilty with explanation. 3. Pay it).

Excuse: The construction sign was dirty, or blocked by something, or just not visible. Usually, you'll get a half discount :-) Good luck.

These options are only avaiable in Ontario. Different Provinces have different system..Like in Qubec...There are only 2 options. One: Guilty. other one : not guilty..
They dont have pledge guilty with explanation.
