Ottawa – Construction is set to begin at the intersection of Waller Street and Rideau Street starting this week. The work will lead to improved flow of traffic in the community and is expected to be completed by the end of November, if weather allows.
Crews will widen the roadway and install bollards to enhance guidance for both vehicular and pedestrian traffic. Sidewalks on the southeast and southwest corners of the intersection will also be updated.
During construction, the northbound lane on Waller from Besserer Street to Rideau will be closed to vehicles and bicycles. A signed detour will be in place. Pedestrian access will be maintained throughout the construction period.
