Scott Street repaving to result in lane reductions

Ottawa – Scott Street will be reduced by one lane in each direction from City Centre Avenue to Merton Street starting Friday, October 30 and lasting approximately two weeks, with work occurring during both peak and off-peak hours. These lane reductions are required as part of the repaving of Scott Street.

Cyclist and pedestrian access to multi-use pathways and sidewalks will not be affected. However, some bus stops may need to be shifted throughout the two-week construction project. Signage will be deployed to indicate the temporary stops if this measure is taken.

With all of the construction-related activities underway across the city, residents are encouraged to be flexible with commuting times, stagger work hours or use alternative means for travel. The public is asked to consider options such as transit, walking, cycling or carpooling.
