buy camera from Quebec pay no PST ?

Hi,

Find a good price of 10D in a shop in Montreal (their lens price is good also):

CAD$2295 + 7% GST if shipped to Ontario.

Wonder whether anyone bought anything from Quebec and save the tax ? According to my colleagues, the government is really diligen in getting tax from us so even if you did not pay it now, you may still have to pay it later, potentially a few years later.

Any experience to share ?

Canadian customers tax is determined by their shipping address (as required by Revenue Canada). Ontario and the Maritimes pay 15%; P.E.I. and the rest of Canada are required to pay GST (7%).

that depends on the store location. You don't need to pay PST if you are Ontario resident, however, the store is in other provinces.

我如果直接去Montreal买是不是也可免PST,
安省是否会要求补交？

When you register your car, you need pay your ON PST. There is no way you can skip tax.
