On November 6, VIA Rail and the Royal Canadian Legion launched a partnership which aims to pay tribute to Canadian veterans. Poppies will be distributed on Via Rail trains.
Yves Desjardins-Siciliano, President and CEO of VIA Rail, Tom Eagles, Dominion President of the Legion, VIA Rail and Legion employees, as well as veterans, soldiers and their family member marked the event.
A Via Rail train was officially decorated with a poppy to highlight Remembrance Day activities. More train cars across the country will also sport a poppy.

Veteran Willy Bruce makes a point of touching the poppy decal placed on the Via train engine at the inauguration of the campaign to distribute poppies on board VIA trains.
