The 22-year-old tow-truck driver charged in Sunday’s deadly crash that killed a 55-year-old Ottawa father and severely injured his 13-year-old daughter was granted bail on Thursday.
Mohamed Haj-Saleh was released from custody Thursday afternoon and awaits trial on charges of dangerous driving causing death and dangerous driving causing bodily harm.
The crash on Meadowlands Avenue at the intersection of Viewmount Drive left Giai Ly dead. His daughter is in hospital with serious head injuries.
Haj-Saleh, who has no criminal record, is scheduled to appear in court next later this month. His bail conditions prohibit him from driving.
