A section of Rideau Street already closed to most vehicles since August, will be closed to buses, taxis and delivery vehicles on the weekend to allow crews to re-locate a water main as part of the O-Train Confederation Line construction.
The road will be closed from Sussex Drive to Dalhousie Street from Friday at 6:30 p.m. to Monday at 5 a.m.
Businesses will remain open and pedestrians can walk in the area, except for the south sidewalk between Sussex and the pedestrian crossing at the Rideau Centre entrance.
Buses, taxis and delivery vehicles will be detoured until Monday morning.
