A construction worker who fell off the roof of a three-storey building in the city’s east end was rushed to hospital Tuesday afternoon in critical condition.
Ottawa ambulance services confirmed a 47- year-old man was working at a construction site in the Innes Road area when he fell just before 2 p.m.
“As a result of the fall he sustained critical multi-system trauma which resulted in him being in cardiac arrest on our arrival,” said Jason St-Pierre, duty office for the Ottawa paramedic service. “He was transported in critical condition to the (Ottawa Hospital’s) trauma centre.”
The incident is under investigation by the Ottawa Police Service and Ministry of Labour.
