Gatineau police have arrested two men after drugs were found during a search of a vehicle and an apartment on Wednesday afternoon.
As part of a Gatineau police gang unit investigation, police stopped a vehicle on Coallier Street around 4 p. m.
Police arrested the five occupants of the vehicle, including a man who was the target of their investigation. A sixth man was arrested near an apartment at 21 Saint-Florent St., where police executed a search warrant.
There, police seized 40 grams of crack, 25 grams of cocaine, 953 tablets of methamphetamine, a stolen bike worth $1,400 and $1,385 in cash.
Ken Katalayi-Kassende, 30, was charged with extortion, three counts of drug trafficking and three counts of drug possession.
A 43-year-old man was released from custody on a promise to appear in court at a later date.
The other four men were released without charges.
