Children were rescued from the second floor of a residential high-rise building at 1465 Caldwell Ave. on Saturday evening after Ottawa Fire Services received multiple calls reporting visible flames.
A second-alarm fire was declared and emergency rescue operations began after 911 callers reported children trapped in a unit.
Ottawa fire reported that Ottawa Paramedic Services was attending to non-critical civilian and firefighter injures.
Damage and the cause of the fire have not yet been determined.
