Ottawa’s Caring and Sharing Exchange Program, which celebrates its centennial this year, has issued an urgent appeal for help in making Christmas more enjoyable for those less fortunate.
The exchange provides food and other assistance to as many as 15,000 people every holiday season, but the organization says some 3,200 names remain on a waiting list for Christmas help.
The assistance program provides food hampers or much-needed redeemable gift certificates during the holiday season.
These gift certificates can be used at any Ottawa Giant Tiger location.
Cash donations can be made to the Christmas Exchange program or you can sponsor a hamper for a family in need.
