A 69-year-old man was taken to hospital after a small fire broke out in his Crystal Beach-area apartment late Friday night.
At 11:25 p.m., paramedics received a report of a man injured in a fire at 3 Ullswater Dr. Ottawa Fire and police also attended.
The man was removed from the apartment, assessed by paramedics and taken to hospital for smoke inhalation and superficial burns to his forehead.
He was in stable condition upon arriving at the hospital.
The fire is believed to have started in the bathroom.
Damages are estimated at $100,000 to the building and $10,000 to contents.
A fire investigator is on the scene.
