The body of a missing Augusta Township fisherman has been found.
The 48-year-old man was reported missing Saturday afternoon after a boat with three men fishing on the St. Lawrence River in Edwardsburgh Township, near Prescott, overturned. Two of the men reached the safety of nearby Adams Island, but a third had disappeared.
On Sunday afternoon, at about 1 p.m., the missing man’s body was spotted by an OPP helicopter.
The man’s name was not released. An autopsy is scheduled for Monday and an investigation is underway.
