A 30-year-old Ottawa man has been charged after a woman was allegedly sexually assaulted in his Sandy Hill home.
The 26-year-old woman met the man on an online dating site in June, and agreed to come to his house, police said in a news release Monday.
“At his residence, she was sexually assaulted,” according to the police sexual assault and child abuse section.
The woman reported the incident to police on Dec. 7, and investigators are concerned “there could be other victims.”
Police declined to provide further details, saying they didn’t want to identify the victim.
Paul Batchelor, 30, of Ottawa is charged with sexual assault and was to appear in court on Tuesday.
