Fire has destroyed a prominent restaurant in Almonte.
The fire at Moose McGuire’s on Ottawa Street broke out after 4 a.m. Tuesday and forced police to close Ottawa Street for several hours.
The establishment was formerly known as J.R.’s Restaurant. The building was completely destroyed. No injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire is not known at this time. The investigation continues.
