One person was killed in a collision Wednesday morning at the intersection of highways 7 and 15 in Carleton Place, Ontario Provincial Police said.
Police have closed the busy intersection and are advising drivers to plan alternate routes. While detours are in place, anyone who decides to pass through the area can expect delays.
Officers were called to the scene at 8:21 a.m. Wednesday.
The roads are not expected to reopen before 1 p.m.
Police have not released the identity of the accident victim.
