Sewer work on Scott Street is expected to cause some traffic disruptions between Merton Street and Bayview Road.
Scott will be reduced to one lane in each direction as of Jan. 11 at 5 p.m. There will also be no access to Scott from Garland Street as of Monday. The multi-use pathway along the north side of Scott Street at Merton Street will be reduced to one lane, starting Friday.
The work is required to rehabilitate a critical sewer line that runs under Scott Street and is more than a century old, the city says.
It must be completed before Jan. 17, when OC Transpo will begin diverting buses from the Transitway onto Scott Street as part of Confederation line LRT construction.
The work is expected to take about a week.
