Police have closed Cumberland Street between York and Murray streets after a man was trapped beneath a pickup truck after being thrown from his motorized scooter.
Firefighters were called to Cumberland and Clarence streets around 4:45 p.m., where they began trying to extricate the man.
Police have closed Cumberland in both directions and were urging motorists to avoid the area.
