A 22-year-old man and a 43-year-old woman have been charged with weapons offences following an assault in the area of Queen Mary and Lola streets in the Overbrook area Monday evening.
Ottawa central division patrol officers were called to the scene at about 7:30 p.m. for a report of a person with a gun and an assault.
Police arrested Gilbert Atkinson and Catherine Pelow at the scene. A unidentified firearm and unspecified amounts of “illegal narcotics” were also located.
The accused are scheduled to attend a show cause hearing on the matter.
