A man escaped the frigid water near Constance Bay Sunday afternoon after his snowmobile plunged through the ice.
Firefighters responded to the area near Bayview Drive around 2:30 p.m. after they received a 911 call.
The caller updated firefighters that the man was out of the water and walking to the shore.
When firefighters left the scene, the man and the snowmobile were out of the water.
No information was immediately available on the condition of the man.
