What to expect when you’re expecting? It’s a question that’s spawned countless books and at least one absolutely terrible rom-com.
But for an Ottawa couple, Monday morning was all about the unexpected.
Because, surely, the last thing the couple expected was for a pair of paramedics to come rushing into their downtown residence on Nepean Street just in the nick of time to deliver a health baby boy.
Ottawa paramedics received a call informing them of an “imminent birth” at 1:38 a.m. Monday.
By 1:55 a.m., a baby boy met the world.
“This is not that unusual,” a paramedics spokesman said. “People always wait until the last minute…until they can’t wait anymore.”
The baby, mother and father all were transported to hospital “healthy and without complications.”
