Gatineau police say they are hoping to get more information this week from a Montreal lab that will perform an autopsy on a human body part found last Friday.
The body part, which police haven’t identified, was found by workers at Resolute Forest Products in an outdoor pond of water and chemicals at the company’s plant on Main Street. The area is on the mainland just north of Kettle Island.
Police announced Monday they still can’t say whether the person is a man or woman.
The autopsy will be performed sometime this week by Quebec’s forensics lab, the Laboratoire de sciences judiciaires et de médecine légale.
