An Ottawa man faces several charges after a scuffle with police in which he attempted to take an officer’s gun, Ontario Provincial Police say.
Police say officers were called to a disturbance Friday night on Concession Road 5, North Stormont
Township, and arrested a man found to be in contravention of conditions ordered by a court. Later, at the Stormont Dundas and Glengarry detachment office, the man fought with police and tried to grab one officer’s gun, the OPP said.
Patrick Ethier, 23, was to appear in court in Cornwall on charges including breach of probation, uttering threats, assaulting a peace officer and disarming a police officer.
