A basement fire late Tuesday night in Ottawa’s south end caused roughly $75,000 in damages, Ottawa Fire Service says.
Shortly after 11 p.m., fire crews were called after smoke became visible from a home at 8 Dossetter Way, near Hunt Club and Conroy roads.
A basement fire was discovered and quickly doused by firefighters. No one was home at the time of the fire and the cause of the blaze is still under investigation, Ottawa fire says.
There were no injuries.
