Do you know anyone who has been affected by kidney disease, or just loves to help out? Alive to Strive Kidney Fitness Project needs a number of volunteers to help with the annual Alive2Strive Race (April 23-24) at 2960 Riverside Dr. Roles include: event setup, race kit pickup, catering and cleaning, security, parking and registration. Volunteers are needed for Saint-Louis Residence in Orléans. Roles include: facilitating group activities, escorting residents to appointments and activities, organizing activities, and much more. Piano player needed: The Salvation Army Grace Manor needs a volunteer to play the piano during Wednesday morning hymn-sing program for about one hour per week. Ability to read and learn the program’s music is a must. Volunteers will be playing a full-size electric keyboard. You’ll help to enhance the residents hymn-sing program. The music will also provide stimulation to those with cognitive issues. You’ll have the opportunity to practice your piano playing talent, learn new music and interact in a meaningful way with residents attending the program.
