Gatineau police have announced a $3,000 reward for information about the whereabouts of Yves Cyr, 41, who has been missing since Dec. 7.
According to police, Cyr went to work and then simply disappeared on that day.
He was last seen in an industrial park near the Gatineau airport. Police said there are concerns for the man’s health and safety. However, it is not believed that he was dealing with depression or mental illness.
Police found Cyr’s 2008 red Ford truck in the parking lot of a McDonald’s restaurant at 378 Maloney Blvd. W. But, so far all attempts to locate him have been unsuccessful.
His wife Anna Boudria has released several pleas for help from the public to locate the the man.
Cyr is described as Caucasian, 1.68 metres tall, weighing about 100 kilograms, with blue eyes and brown hair. He is francophone.
Anyone with information about Cyr’s whereabouts is asked to call 819-243-2346, ext. 6677.
