Ottawa police robbery detectives say once was not enough for a man suspected of robbing the same Laurier Avenue convenience store twice in two weeks.
The first robbery occurred last Dec. 18 at about 1 a.m. when a man walked into a convenience store in the 200 block of Luarier Avenue, pulled a knife and demanded cash and cigarettes. He was handed an undisclosed quantity of cigarettes and fled.
On Dec. 30, at about 9 p.m., the suspect returned with the same demands. This time he fled south on foot along Henderson Avenue with an undisclosed quanity of cash and cigarettes.
There were no injuries in either stickup.
The suspect was described as an English-speaking Caucasian, 19-22 years old with a slim build.
In both robberies, the suspect wore a bandanna over his face.
