The arrest of a Gatineau burglar has led police to recover three stolen guns and ammunition.
Gatineau police said they caught the suspect following a break-and-enter in the Versant district of Gatineau at about 3 a.m. on Monday.
Gatineau police Agent Andrée East said the department had been alerted to a second home break-in around the same time frame and further investigation led police to recover the guns and ammunition that was stolen during the second break-in.
Police said a 39-year-old man, whose identity was not released, is to face charges of break-and-enter, wearing a disguise, breaching conditions that prohibited him from having a firearm and breach of probation.
Police also arrested a 33-year-old woman who they allege was an accomplice in the break-ins.
