Police are seeking witnesses after a man was badly hurt after being struck by a signpost in the Hampton Park Plaza parking lot Monday afternoon.
The 73-year-old man suffered life-threatening injuries after a driver lost control of her car near the plaza’s LCBO outlet and struck a metal signpost, which fell on him.
“He suffered very, very serious head injuries,” Paramedic Service spokesman J.P. Trottier said Tuesday.
After hitting the signpost the car careered through a storefront window, he said, adding that the driver was not injured.
