Ottawa firefighters and hazmat units remain on the scene of a two-vehicle crash at Hawthorne Road and Stevenage Drive Tuesday morning that caused a tractor-trailer to leak its load of diesel fuel.
Responders said the accident happened around 7:21 a.m. and involves more than 700 litres of fuel, which is leaking in the ditch next to the roadways.
Hazmat was called to help prevent the fuel from reaching storm sewer drains.
City crews were en route to assist with the cleanup.
No injuries were reported.
