A family of four has been displaced by a fire at their home in the city’s south end Friday afternoon.
Ottawa firefighters were called after several calls at about noon reported heavy smoke from the roof of the home at 1539 Goth Ave., near Bank Street.
Firefighters confirmed the working fire and began suppression operations.
The family, two adults and two children, escaped without harm but will be displaced indefinitely. Ottawa fire victims services staff are assising.
The fire was declared under control at 2 p.m. No firefighters were injured.
An investigation has begun and there was no determination of the cause of the fire, or the dollar loss value.
