City Hall Blog: Come for the condos, stay for the Sens game

Unlike Ottawa city councillors, the press corps who cover them aren’t obliged to update the gift registry every time we’re offered gifts, benefits, hospitality and tickets.

But if we did, I’d list the following: An invitation from a developer to attend a “news briefing” next month in a 200-level box at the Canadian Tire Centre, conveniently scheduled about an hour before the Ottawa Senators take on the St. Louis Blues.

The invitation, which I have declined, came from DevMcGill, the Montreal-based condo company involved in redeveloped Arts Court/expanded Ottawa Art Gallery project.
