Police are continuing efforts to confirm the identity of a man who was struck and killed while crossing Highway 401 westbound in Kingston Friday evening after a collision.
The man was driving near Joyceville Road and John F. Scott Road in Kingston when he hit the centre concrete median and collided with another car at 7 p.m., Ontario Provincial Police said.
The driver left his vehicle and began crossing the westbound lanes, where he was stuck by oncoming traffic. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
No one else was injured.
Police are continuing the investigation. They ask anyone with information to contact Frontenac OPP at 613-372-1932 or 1-888-310-1122.
