A construction worker who slipped off a beam suffered serious head and facial injuries after falling about four metres, Ottawa paramedics said.
Paramedics said the 26-year-old man was knocked unconscious by the fall, which occurred at about 11:26 a.m. at a residential construction site on Navan Road.
The man regained consciousness when paramedics arrived and is in serious but stable condition in hospital.
Ontario’s Ministry of Labour is investigating.
