It's rather interesting that the city government collected your property tax in June, with that extra 6.5%, but did not give it back to you until 3 months later. Meanwhile you must pay a penalty of x% even if you were one second late in making the payment, but the city government is not giving you any interest earned on that extra 6.5%.

I'd like to see this issue raised in the next municipal election.

Can't blame the city while the problem was created by the province. Should give the city credit for this.

provincial election, so it could be dropped next year...
