About two dozen protesters shouting “black lives matter” into a megaphone sat in the corridor of city hall Wednesday morning.
The group said they were supporting “black lived matter” protests in Toronto and they were collecting donations.
City council was meeting in chambers at the time of the protest.
Police were asking protesters to leave the building. The protesters refused to leave.
