One man has been taken to hospital with serious injuries after a single-vehicle collision near on the Trans-Canada Highway near Kinburn, west of Ottawa.
Paramedics said a man in a vehicle going at high speeds on Highway 417 went off the roadway at Kinburn Side Road at about 12:15 p.m and struck a rock barrier.
The man, who has not been identified, was taken to hospital in serious condition.
The eastbound fast lane on Highway 417 was expected to remain closed for the afternoon, said Ontario Provincial Police.
