One man is dead and two people suffered critical injuries in a two-vehicle crash near Pembroke Monday afternoon.
Renfrew County paramedics said the head-on collision happened on Highway 17 around 2 p.m.
Police warned motorists to avoid the area, and posted detours on the highway between Whitewater and Greenwood Road.
Paramedics said a man in his 20s was pronounced dead at the scene, and two other people, a woman in her 30s and a man in his 20s, were rushed to hospital in critical condition.
