No child-luring attempt in Prescott, OPP investigation shows

Ontario Provincial Police say an investigation has shown there was no child-luring attempt in the town of Prescott after two young girls reported last week they had been lured by a man and a woman in a van offering them balloons.

“Police have located the van and all parties involved. The investigation revealed there was no attempt to lure children,” the force said in a brief news release Monday night.

Police said the case was closed.
