Police have charged a 16-year-old youth after a woman said she was chased down the street by someone wearing a mask in Barrhaven on Monday.
The incident occurred at 10 a.m. when the woman was approached while walking in the area of Jockvale and Cedarview roads by man wearing black clothing and with his face covered by a black bandanna.
The woman was able to run away and was not injured.
Police said Thursday they had charged the youth with criminal harassment, mischief, failing to comply with his recognizance and failing to comply with a sentence under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
The teen was not named because he is a minor.
Police ask that anyone with information about the incident contact investigators at 613-236-1222, ext. 7300 or through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
