The embedded systems management devices (LM-81 and MAX1617) detect system events such as fan failures and temperature and voltage problems.
The management software monitor's the Fans (Back System Fan, CPU Fan, Front System Fan), Voltages (CPU core, +1.5, +2.5, +3.3, +12 and +5 volts), Temperatures (CPU temp), and Memory Health.
The management software can read the event logs and displays them under the Hardware Log page of the open Manage software. The user can also define Alert Actions when the sensors reading cross thresholds.
The Auto Recovery option will enable the system to power cycle or reset or power off when ever the system hangs.The thermal shutdown option if enabled can initiate a graceful OS System Shutdown and Power off the system whenever the CPU temperature crosses the upper critical threshold, the software will take action only if the CPU temperature is above the threshold limits for a certain amount of time.
