Chris Wright:

Chris (or more formally The Rev. Dr. Chris Wright) was hand-picked by John Stott as his successor in this ministry. His title at LPI is International Ministries Director. His job is to represent and promote the vision and work of Langham around the world through his international travel and speaking and his writing ministry as a Christian scholar and author, and to share in the spiritual and strategic leadership of the organization. An ordained pastor in the Church of England, Chris spent five years teaching the Old Testament in India, and thirteen years as Academic Dean and then Principal of All Nations Christian College, in England. He’s a biblical scholar, holding a PhD at Cambridge University in Cambridge in Theology, specializing in Old Testament economic ethics. He’s an author of many books, most in the areas of “practical theology” and mission. As the Chair of the Lausanne Theology Working Group, he was the chief architect of The Cape Town Commitment – the Statement of the Third Lausanne Congress in 2010. He was the bible expositor at the 8th Chinese Congress on World Evangelization in Indonesia in 2011 and the keynote speaker at the 87th Hong Kong/Kowloon Bible Conference in 2015.

CHRIS IS COMING TO OTTAWA…

A public event will be held Sunday May 1, 6-8 pm. Chris’s address is titled “Integrate your Mission with the Great Commission”. It will be of interest to all the folk in your congregation, but perhaps especially to those excited about how to actualize missions.

A second event, a free luncheon for pastors and leaders, will be held Tuesday, May 3 from 12:00 noon - 2:00 pm. Chris will speak on “Church Growth ; God’s Method or Ours?”.
