Touch-A-Truck: Mothercraft Ottawa offers innovative programs to meet the needs of families and providers in the community. Needed are volunteers for our Touch-A-Truck Event on Sunday, June 12, from 9:45 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Lincoln Fields Shopping Centre. We’re growing! Volunteer Ottawa links people with organizations looking for volunteers. We need YOU! Friendly receptionists are needed to assist those in search of volunteer opportunities. Administrative volunteers are required to perform general office duties like preparing workshop materials and processing payments. Our DiverseCity onBoard program needs an outreach coordinator to assist with the continuing development of a not-for-profit board’s database in Ottawa, book outreach presentations for the program manager, assist with recruiting DOB candidates, research new board opportunities and assist with event planning. Are you or someone you know a young historian? Interested in Ottawa’s past? Help the Bytown Museum! Required are youth ages 16-23 to help us keep Ottawa’s history alive! The Bytown Museum Youth Council needs members to assist with creating great content to share Bytown’s history with our audience. Are you interested in dance? The Canada Dance Festival, featuring some of the country’s most exciting and innovative dance performances, runs from June 4 to 11. This festival requires volunteers to assist with everything from customer service to transportation. Volunteers will not only make new friends in the community, but will receive complimentary tickets to dance performances.
