The Ottawa police’s sexual assault and child abuse unit has arrested and charged a Sherbrooke man with sexual offences related to an incident involving a 10 year old.
Nicholas Boudreault, 28, was charged with one count each of sexual assault, sexual interference and invitation to sexual touching. He is scheduled to appear in court on Saturday.
Ottawa police had received a report last Monday that an adult male had sexually assaulted a 10 year old early in 2016 in Ottawa. The incident, police added, was not random.
According to police, Boudreault is known to have frequented the Ottawa-Gatineau, Embrun and London areas over the past years.
Investigators are concerned there could be other victims. Anyone with information or who may have been a witness to an incident is asked to contact the Ottawa Police Sexual Assault and Child Abuse Unit at 613-236-1222, ext. 5944.
