Emergency responders used the “jaws of life” equipment to extricate a trapped passenger following a two-car collision in front of the Baseline Road Walmart store Saturday.
En route to the scene at 1357 Baseline Rd., firefighters were told that one car was on top of another car and, on arrival, they confirmed that there were people unable to get out of one of the vehicles.
Firefighters helped one person out of a vehicle and that person was turned over for patient care.
They then were able to move the second vehicle sufficiently to extricate the second person.
Both people were turned over to paramedics for first aid care but there were no serious injuries.
