刚刚读了那则征婚启事和一系列的讨论(http://www.comefromchina.com/newbbs/showthread.php?s=&forumid=3&threadid=155258),呵呵,不禁想起了这句西方名谚:"Marriage is a lottery."

有兴趣以这句话为主题展开讨论吗?

In old society, it was more like a lottery for ladies. However, nowdays both men and women have the freedom to go into marriage and exit from marriage. In contemporary society, marriage is more like finding economic partners. Lots of things which used to be only between wife and husband have been downgraded to girl friends and boy friends. So the tie for a solid and long term marriage has also be bias to econimic foundation on both partners. Is this a tragedy or progress? Judge by yourselves. One bottom line is that one can not demand everything while excuses oneself everything.

原来以为这个话题能够引起一番讨论,却只有四位朋友加入.我也不想多说了.感谢这四位朋友,都是有个性的发言.

生死有命，富贵在天。基本是个人很难控制。更不要说控制自己和别人的变化了。多少人新婚不是甜甜蜜蜜，想着一生一世。分开时或是伤得痛心入骨，或是早已心如死灰。所以学会听天由命，学会接受现实，学会及时行乐才是真。
